Metzler would’ve been better off staying at valley just as Beasley would’ve been better staying at Webster. Might not be the star player but you’ll win more games

A lot of athletic young men on each side. Valley wins because of experience. Should be fun to watch.

The team that starts three seniors a junior and an animal freshman doesn’t have any experience

I see 4 Juniors and a senior that either started or played valuable minutes in a district championship against NB last year.

And the same exact kids minus Roberts beat Norm and Valley last season and gave NB all they wanted . We graduated a senior who didn’t hardly play at all. Your point is null

Valley by 6. Both teams are playing extremely well, I think Webster comes in a little relaxed after the win over burg.

The norm era was a mess-according to local chatter. Anyone can get anyone once west got waverly last year. The junior class have all played varsity since freshman year- alongside possibly the best athlete in the county (stuart). Experience is there is there so not exactly null. Good luck to both teams- big fan of coach cole. Indians edge this one out. Carry on swank.
Re: 12/10 Valley (4-0 and 2-0 SOC2) @ South Webster (3-0 and 1-0 SOC2)
South Webster returned everyone and also start 3 seniors. Valley could definitely win, but "experience" isn't in favor of the Indians. Both teams returned pretty much everything.
Stuart is a great athlete but I'm not sure he's the best athlete in the county. Why does he get that nod? Because of his ability to dunk?
Bryant of Portsmouth would like to enter the chat..... I watched Clark the other night for Wheelersburg and he also was a heck of an athlete.
Should be an entertaining game tonight between two very solid D4 teams.... dare I say the best two D4 teams in the district?

Experience does not directly correlate to grade level but on the court varsity experience and valleys junior class has 3 years of that and so does stuart. bjJunky77 look up the definition of "possibly" ...
As i previously stated should be great matchup and as far as D4-Western is on the rise and Trimble always solid.

bbjunky: agreed on Clark...that kid was legit all year at cornerback for the Pirates (watch tape of him covering Futhey in Waverly game) and looked like best athlete on floor against Webster.
As others have said, scary to think how good Valley would be with Perkins and Metzler still playing for them. Even without them, they still look like a Regional-caliber team in D4.
Both teams coming off big wins Tuesday night, so could be a slow start. Once they settle in, should be a fast-paced game with both teams getting up a lot of shots. I'll take the Jeeps at home by a score of 64-61.*

3guys1trick,
Buckle had some spot starts last year as a sophomore, not a lot. So year 1 of starting.
Copley started last year so he's on year 2 of varsity.
Arnett has started for 3 years I believe.
Stuart has started for 3 years I believe.
Nickle has started the last 2 years.
11 total years of starting varsity.
South Webster has:
Zimmerman - 4 years of starting
Blizzard - 2 years of starting
Carpenter - 2 years of starting permanently, spot starts 3 years ago like Buckle so I won't count it.
Collins - 2 years of starting
Roberts - 1st year starting (Freshman)
11 total years of starting varsity.
What do we want to debate next? Amount of minutes each player received?
I appreciate you continuing to go down this rabbit hole when it's clearly a moot point, but I'll end it with "both teams are experienced."
Art, Clark was definitely an impressive athlete. Strong, physical kid who looked like the fastest kid on the floor and the best leaper. If he can settle in and get his basketball legs under him then Wheelersburg is going to become a very dangerous D3 team.

BBWjunky69 nickel played as a freshman so that’s 3 years of varsity experience

Don’t know why it is, but definitely easier to shoot on stage end, especially when the curtain closed. We’ll see if it holds true this half for Webster like it did in Burg game. Solid first half of basketball for both teams.*The Ghost of Swanker wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 8:00 pm 30-26 Valley at the half.

Valley's pressure on defense coupled with SW being ice cold from 3 has made it difficult on the Jeeps.

It is still anyone's game with 2 minutes left

Why doesnt the big boy from valley get more minutes down the stretch?

Valley wins! These 2 teams are evenly matched. I wouldn't bet for or against either one.

Valley had a chance to close it out earlier when up 14. Webster stormed back and made it a game again. Two quality teams. Valley needs to hit free throws down the stretch and make better decisions late in the game. But a road win in the soc 2, I’ll take it! Good job boys! Levi stewart played quality minutes tonight. Need more out of him to give us someone off the bench.

Is Levi the nose guard playing basketball? If so, I thought he did a decent job
