I ask a couple weeks ago about it and was told they didn't know how many he needs. I would say he's getting close.BasketballFan22 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 11:32 am I graduated from Eastern years ago, but I do have to say. I enjoy watching this Minford team play basketball. I heard a rumor Mr. Miles Montgomery is itching close to the 1,000 point club as a sophomore? Is there any truth to that?
Minford escaped burg the first game probably should of lost. But as long as kayser plays at a high level, teams better get the baseball bats out.Hoopster98 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 2:17 pm The only time to really give Minford trouble has been Valley. Oh and they are in their side of the bracket. I am surprised that Minford swept the league especially with Valley and SW. Usually Minford will blow a game or so but seem really focused this year.
I read he had 300 something in 11 games this year alone. Wouldn't mind to see how close he is. If he doesn't get it this year. I say he will get it early next season. The Ghost of Swanker wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 7:46 pm His career average has to be close to 22-24ppg. Probably 44 or so career games so far?
It's Tyler. Yes he would have.GoAt 10 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 3:17 pm Speaking of the sommer/yeagle combo minford had in the 1994 season, I think a kid like Austin Sommer that transferred to SW last spring from burg, would have fit this minford group really well and without a doubt made them capable of a state run. He is like 6'3 or so, shoots from outside well, plays extremely hard and is a great defender who has size and plays physical. Too bad he didn't follow dads footsteps and join the Falcons.
So in 67 years, Minford has 4 league titles and you call that a "rich" basketball history. In their 2nd High School, they won one league title!!!! That is a league title every 17 years.Jason Vorhees wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 7:29 am Minford has a really rich basketball history that truly flies under the radar.
County Champions: 1932, 1933, 1938, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, and 1952.
SOC Champs: 1948, 1949, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1995, 2013 Co-Champs, 2015, and 2023.
District Champion: 1994, and 1995.
What’s crazy is that Minford was SOC2 Champs and District Champs but Wheelersburg was State Runner Up that year to Orrville.
Minford does not have a rich traditon in basketball or any sport for that matter. Baseball has been good for the last 10 years or so. That is about it.thebarlowbandit wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 2:33 pmSo in 67 years, Minford has 4 league titles and you call that a "rich" basketball history. 11 Conference titles Since 1948. That’s one about every 6-7 years. That’s pretty darn good to me.Bozo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 9:04 amMinford does not have a rich traditon in basketball or any sport for that matter. There may be a chance for you guys to hire an awesome coach after this year. It may be about time for some new wallpaper in Tuppers Plains.Jason Vorhees wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 9:16 am11 Conference titles Since 1948. That’s one about every 6-7 years. They beat Eastern Pike.Howard Cosell wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 8:36 am Anytime you can win a conference title and beat Eastern Brown to do it yiou have built definite MOJO points for your program. Hopefully Minfrod can maintain this in the tournament.
Awesome. Another good win for an emerging program.GoIrish wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 1:22 pmThey beat Eastern Pike.Howard Cosell wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 8:36 am Anytime you can win a conference title and beat Eastern Brown to do it yiou have built definite MOJO points for your program.
