It wasn't from 1:00pm-2:30pm today at Waverly between Burg and Minford. Maybe I drove through some kind of wormhole on State Route 139 heading to Wellston and entered a dimension where "a foul isn't a foul"? Or maybe a foul is simply a subjective judgment call and the 3 refs at Wellston called a tighter game than the 3 refs at Waverly. The later seems more likely...
Again, I'm not saying there is a right way or a wrong way to call a game. I'm just saying what is a foul in one game might not be a foul in the next. Bumping, grabbing, reaching etc. are often not fouls.
Let me preface this again by saying Webster did not lose because of the refs. But when tourney rolls around, I want to see an all-out street fight on the court (like the Burg/Minford game). I don’t want to see 8 fouls called in the first 4 minutes of a District-level tourney game. Because once that happened, they started calling bs calls on Valley to even things out and then second half was a foul shooting extravaganza. Let the kids play until they get to the edge, and then tighten it up.

Was like the Super Bowl...I loved how they let both teams beat the hell out of each other for first 58 minutes...last 2 minutes was where the officials went wrong. Just my preference.*

It's a simple fix

Don't play d2 d3 d4 all together and expect to have a good crew calling the game.

More games, more Refs needed, which means ones who shouldn't be doing tournament games get tournament games. Not a mystery on why some refs were out of sorts on how they call the game. Not to mention the break up crews and have refs working for 1st time with a different crew who's whistles don't match up and who's not use to each other. I think our district is ass backwards on our whole tournament set up. No way the buddy voting system should be in use its to easily dictated by swaying votes and buddy's. Just get everyone in a room and vote, then place em on bracket. Our district needs some changes made.

I believe it was 2013...ended up losing in Regional Finals to Fairfield Christian. Got beat in District Finals in 2017 (Clay) and 2018 (Coal Grove).*

I believe that game had officials who have worked a few State Tournament games and will be in the Regionals this year. Sorry, I guess Teddy Valentine was busy and couldn't work your game.

Looking at the brackets I'm seeing 2013.

Sectional championships since then: 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022

District runner-ups in: 2017, 2018, 2020

And when everyone had to drive to Jackson on a Sunday to vote, they wanted it to be done on-line. Funny, how people forget that when people were in person there were head scratching votes as well. Also, no district votes in person. They all do the voting on-line. Some do let teams place themselves on the bracket.

I am perfectly fine with the online voting. In today's day and age the majority of things are going digital so I don't see the problem there. If a coach has a problem with where another coach voted them lord knows they have their number and can call and straighten out their differences.

But in terms of placing yourself on the bracket, that is something that SE District needs to add in. The super sectional was the right thing to do and I commend you all for doing that. The placing of yourself on the bracket is truly the only thing missing.
