Bigtimefan are you a coach? What is your record?
Coach Daivs has a great record as a coach. He has taken teams from Ohio and Indiana to final four in the tournament. Also he has produced several all state players in Ohio.
As far as Carson , watch him all year and see where he ends up. He will be playing Div. 1 ball somewhere.

Did I say anything negative at all about Coach Davis? Did I say anything that isn't true about Carson Davis the player? I've watched him play 20+ times. I seriously hope he ends up playing D1 and dominating.peake71 wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 1:15 am Bigtimefan are you a coach? What is your record?

All I've said is that being 6'8 and playing the style he plays translates to a role player at Rio and not a D1 basketball player..Thats a very fair evaluation of him as a player.
Don't get butthurt. It's not an assessment of either of them as people.

You don't have to apologize for expressing a reasonable opinion. Carson is 6-8 and can shoot -- so he's on some D-1 radar screens. But he's not a D-1 contributor now, although a low D-1 could offer in hopes he develops a more versatile game. Might happen. Any actual offers yet? And there is nothing necessarily special about D-1 vs D-2. Some would say there have been others in recent years as good or better from the greater SE region who went on to D-2 programs and are enjoying high-level basketball and on the floor.Bigtimefan wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 6:08 amDid I say anything negative at all about Coach Davis? Not butthurt as you say. I have known Davis for years and remember when Carson was born and watched him play buddy league up thru 8th grade at the Peake . He has played outside even in junior high because he had help underneath just like last year. He needs some work I agree but it just the beginning of his senior year so let's see how the year goes. Attended Meigs games last year and will this year when The Peake isn't playing. Like I have said he has made visits to two D1 schools that I know of and a call from one more. Colleges are looking.
