There are some girls games going on Unioto is playing Piketon.
Does anyone know if the Southeastern Fairland game was or is being played at OU today?

Piketon @ Unioto is on and Chillicothe @ Ironton is on

Those are the only girls games that WKKJ has listed as not postponed that I saw.

Sweet Pea- Have you ever been around Vinton County or the Huntington school district? I'm guessing that neither one would've been able to get to the game without some big time troubles. BTW, Zane Trace @ Huntington girls game was cancelled.

ok - maybe that was a little harsh...but at the time i was told nothing was on the ground there and all the other games were on as scheduled....guess we'll see how many other games at the convo are cancelled.

I really hope that this game is made up these are two of the premier basketball teams in southern ohio. I know I can speak for Huntington when I say we would play anytime anywhere.

At 12:00 there was about 2 inches of snow in Vinton Co. my guess is that they thought we would get more so they called it off.I think it sucks but as long as we make it up it was the right call.A ball game is not worth somebodys life.

Can anyone tell me why at these games they have the bottom bleachers pulled out but when it comes tourney time they don't.

I wish I knew the answer to that. I know that their girls played last night so they must have just kept them out after that.

Even with the first game of the day at 9:00, with the bleachers out the crowd was much better. It can be packed in there during the tournament but it sounds so quiet on the floor. I think it would be a much better tournament atmosphere if the bleachers were out.

However, I understand not having them out. without them you don't have students running on to the floor or a crazed fan going after a ref.

Do you think a crazed fan couldn't run by those guys they have sitting at the top of the stairs down to the floor if they wanted to?

For some reason they have never used the bleachers during the tourney and I've been going to the Convo since 1980.

... I watched the first 3 boyz contests ... the Vinton Co. vs Huntington game was canceled as reported ... I wasn't going to sit for 2+ hours and wait for the Alexander vs Buffalo HS (7:30PM tip off) followed by Peebles vs Westfall at 9:15 PM ... both of those games ARE still on for this evening ...
