Wow!!! Wheelersburg played good tonight! Every single player contributed to the win. The Burg hit 13 threes! Massie 7, Schank 4, Mcbee 2! They all played well together tonight. Stegman had a great game as well!

Congrats to the Pirates on a hard fought victory.

Tough loss for the win less Tigers.

I am excited for the Pirates. They will keep getting better. I was trying to be positive and encouraging on their work ethics. Waverly also may be 0 and 4, but their a good team who has faced 4 decent teams at the beginning of the year. As for Massie playing football: he was unstoppable with his speed, but I don't think there is anything or anyone in the world to convince him to play. Your correct he is a great athlete.

Great game last night from the Burg! I saw an outside shooting game from the Burg that I haven't seen since Spradlin was playing. Waverly couldn't double team Stegman because Schank, Massie, and Mcbee were lighting it up. It has been awhile since there has been an outside shooting extravaganza like I saw last night. What a much better well rounded team than in the past few years. Everyone was contributing...with players in double figures all over the place for the Burg..that type of contribution wins games and championships. I would like to point out someone who didn't get a lot of recognition was Shane Ward who (apparently was sick if anyone saw him with the trash can on the side line :S) and he kept coming back in the game to play D. Then at one point in the second half he got busted in the nose and still returned after that. He did a great job rebounding and doing the dirty work down low.

Now on to Portsmouth..this game will be a battle and probably a little rowdy...because the Burg is in town!

Ward did play a good game with some tough defense and key rebounds between throwing up and having cotton stuffed up his nose. Great cheer block too!
