Chesapeake has lost more players lately than any program around

2 starters transferred out this year

3 starters and their best freshman left last year

Now another starter quit this season

Shenandoah beat Caldwell at Shenandoah 55-52. I watched the live stream, the announcers had the foul total at 27-9 for the game. Shenandoah zone really seemed like it slowed the game down.

Adena over valley 62-44. Not good outing for Valley. But adena played well and played to their strengths.

Valley's a young team that will have some nights like this over the course of the season. But they'll get more out of playing and losing to a team like Adena than they would from beating up on a D4 nonconference team.*

I know, it will benefit them more in the long run. I was just expecting a better game i guess. Hung with them in the 1st quarter and made a run at them in the 3rd, but just couldnt get any closer than 8 points. I know there will be growing pains and only lose 1 major contributor over the next 2 seasons, so they will be ok.

Valley getting too far behind. Turnovers, slow on defense, not boxing out. Looks like they have tired legs, no energy. And adena has Bennett. He’s dominating the game.

Logan's a great player, but the key for Adena so far this year has been Preston Sykes. He's been crazy efficient scoring the ball. I believe he's 16-17 the last 2 games, scoring about 19 a game. That's big for a 2nd capable scorer to step up on a nightly basis.

Valley wouldn't see a team like Adena until Regionals or possibly beyond in D4. Very solid team with basically all seniors. Tough matchup for a team playing a ton of freshman and sophomores. It will benefit them come tournament time.

That's correct, and I agree. I'm not pointing the finger of blame at anybody. It's just crazy to see the mass exodus out of Chesapeake.
