Has anybody been able to confirm Galloway, Netter, and the boy from SE playing basketball at Chillicothe this year?

You talking the Hall kid? Would all 3 be eligible to play this year?

Galloway and Netter would be eligible with the one time return home rule, If I am understanding the rule correctly. The way I understood it was, Galloway wasn't playing basketball anywhere. He is focusing on Football. But I have been wrong before.

Hall is, but Galloway and Netter are enrolled at Unioto and have been attending as of Tuesday (today was their trip to the Vocational School, so I didn’t see any sophomores)

It sucked lol

PV beat ZT by a point, U beat Huntington by 8-10, Piketon beat Westfall by 12, I left after the first quarter of Adena/SE, but it was fairly even

Not sure if anyone played their starters together, but Piketon looked very athletic and strong.

Nobody can even form an opinion. SVC needs to move on from Previews and try to find another way to make money.
Half of regular players don’t even play.

Surprise- Piketon will push PV & Unioto for 2nd place

The preview is a joke…Not a single team takes it seriously. They need to just move on from it imo.

That rule wouldn’t apply because their home school would be considered Unioto since they started their freshman year at the U. Believe that rule applies to kids who transfer after they establish themselves in high school freshman year and then transfer

Gotcha, That makes sense.

Yes the Previews are a thing of the past but they do help fund the league so A.D.'s keep running them. If you asked the coaches they would probably do away with them. I'm just excited to get to the regular season and watch some SVC basketball. It should be a fun and interesting league race this year.

ZT - 12-2 - Inconsistent outside shooting will make the league race closer than most believe
U - 10-4 - Depending on Branson not being in street clothes like the Preview and actually playing
PV & Piketon - 9-5 - PV didn’t live up to expectations this fall, same players for the winter equals 4th place finish. Piketon offensively can’t put up enough points on a regular basis, but doesn’t need to when their defense will hold teams to the low 40’s.

Westfall - 4-10 - Better guard play wins the bottom half of the league
Huntington & Adena - 3-11 - Huntington has to be holding their breath no injuries or illness all year with 9 players total. Depth will be a big problem over course of season. Adena finds a way to beat the bottom half teams in the Wigwam to get their 3 wins
SE - 1-13 - Not sure who they knock off but feel it will happen. Any takers?

Do you know why Branson was not playing?

No I don’t. Just figured it was for precautionary injury reasons, since he is their main player needed to actually push to be in the conversation at the top of the standings.

I heard he got into a fist fight with one of the girls on the varsity team. According to spectators at lunch He actually lost the fight so they made him sit the preview. He’s cleared for game 1.

Is getting into fist fights a new yearly tradition now for Unioto basketball? Last year Little and Galloway answering the bell to start round 1 during a game, now Branson taking up round 2. Nice. Something for all Unioto fans to be proud of
