Here is my support to the reasoning for playing that game on Saturday the 4th.

In 2019 Waverly lost to Bloom Carroll (football playoffs) on Saturday November 16 and played Warren (basketball) on Saturday November 30 at Piketon.
Exact same scenario I am talking about for Waverly/Wheelerburg this year.
So dont make it out like I’m crazy or suggesting something out of the ordinary.

I would like to see a Logan vs Waverly matchup ! It would be a great contest imo - Logan has a quality player in Tegan Myers who I KNOW has met up with Trey Robertson in the AAU season throughout their MS/HS years ... Logan sports good role players and a big in junior 6-5 Cayden Alford ... I'd like to see Logan taking on the best that SEO has to offer - give me a true reading as to where Logan stands vs SEO teams ...

So pushed back for potential weather or rescheduled due to football, either way games are getting rescheduled. Most schools now still play the game even is school is cancelled because of bad weather. So I’d rather take my chances and start them later I think. Just my opinion.

Not trying to make you sound crazy or anything. Maybe difference in your scenario is it wasn’t a league game? Or since it was at piketon, I’m guessing it was a classic or something? Maybe couldn’t find another team to fill the spot? I don’t know. It will all work out.

Of course we want to beat Wheelersburg, we want to win EVERY game. Just didn’t see much difference in playing your first game on Saturday or Tuesday other than maybe 2 practices. I doubt you would practice on Sunday, and Monday wouldn’t be a hard FULL practice - really just gaining that Saturday to practice. Doubt you can scrimmage on Saturday since everybody will have started their season? If my math is correct, not common core, Saturday would be 14 days.
Not really trying to argue and make a big deal out of it, just thought 2 weeks has always been enough.

It is what it is and Waverly will deal with it…
I get what you are saying not trying to argue either. you said no reason and I just gave you a valid reason. getting two extra practices when you have had 20+ and 3-4 scrimmages i agree not a big deal. But 3 more practices when you only get a total of 10 is substantial

I'm assuming they looked good in the PV scrimmage?

Per @smurray in the scrimmages thread.

Got to see the Waverly Tigers at Paint Valley tonight.
Waverly started out with TR, WaF, WiF, MS & HK and jumped out to a 14-3 lead. PM and BR in at the 4:26 and Tigers built on that lead to 24-6. Waverly took the first 27-12

Alt of subbing in the 2nd - Waverly took it 22-15

Same for the 3rd - Waverly took it 18-8

They played another 2 quarters I believe with Waverly winning them as well.

Starting 5 of Trey Robertson, Mark Stulley, Will Futhey, Wade Futhey & Hudson Kelly are excellent with Penn Morrison, Braylon Robertson and Drake Teeters coming in off the bench.
Tiger defense is relentless applying constant pressure and the transition offense is fast.

Is the game Saturday with Piketon a scrimmage game or a regular season game?
