It’s still a step and a half like a regular layup. Only difference is the second step is lateral and not forward. Neither is traveling if done right.

Headgear & 12oz gloves should be put on any "bigs" who shoot less than 30%...7 fouls per player & ban fans from talking or screaming at games. Place gags on them as they enter gym....& oh yeah & allow Euro, Asian & Australian step but only in back court

It's a catch only if you've made a football move and it's secure if you don't let the ball move. It's a constant struggle. Why can't we just all get along.haha!
