Jackson 65
Athens 55
Final

Jackson makes some clutch free throws and rebounds in the last minute to win. Whiting had 26 or 28

Jackson plays a lot like LE now. Will spread you out and attack. Hard to guard

Awesome win on back to back nights. Jackson sits at 4-0. Coach Morrow does a great job of reloading each year.

I had Jacksom with just 2 turnovers in the first half. Tough to beat a team that doesnt turn the ball over. They also got production from six players, six players filling up the stat sheet with points AND rebounds.

Unofficial

Hammond 17 pts, 4 rebounds
Spires 19 pts, 7 rebounds
Bragg 12 pts, 4 rebounds
Kuhn 8 pts, 7 rebounds
Prater 7 pts, 3 rebounds
Erwin 2 points, 4 rebounds

The whole team is involved all the time. Pass well, scoring, rebounding, etc ...

2 turnovers in the first half, just 10 total on the game.

Athens on the other hand got 26 from Whiting and 12 pts from Matters. No other player double figures, Welch did lead all players with 11 boards. Athens turned the ball over 17 times, which isn't terrible, but a lot came in the first half when the Ironmen didn't turn it over barely at all.

Good stats. Thanks

4-0 feels good.

Crazy how momentum can swing in a game...THE moment that looked like it was going to be THE moment to put Athens away for good turned out to be THE moment to get Athens back into the game. Hammond had a great game...was loose and playing great. Steals and great defense. 17 points ....we need that from him! Spires went off for 19. The Jackson Ironmen are a better basketball team when Evan Spires is on the court. Played a great game again. Tristan Prater getting better and better!

Fan of the game was Willie Woodard.

Good Luck to Athens the rest of the season. Whiting a top notch player. Matters solid. Big guy pretty good.

This years Jackson team reminds me a lot of Oak Hill’s team last year. Almost unexpectedly a very solid all round team after losing a great player or two. Very unselfish on offense and played hard on defense, with someone different always stepping up their scoring when needed. Probably isn’t the best comparison since the Oaks had Hammond down low but it’s close lol.
