How do you stay in a zone with the way Garaway is shooting 3’s and how do you not get Swords open for some three point shots??

You would think Wheelersburg would have switched out of the zone and got out to guard the shooters man to man. Sitting back in the zone just gives the shooters open looks all day long.

I agree the zone was odd. I totally understand trying it but with the way Garaway shot it you have to adjust. The one kid for Garaway made 9 threes alone. 9! And they were all with his feet set wide open off ball reversal.

Garaway has good athletes but Burg definitely could have matched up with them man to man.

The one kid from Caraway with 9 threes. The #22 Alexander Roden was pretty much unstoppable. He could get to the rack whenever he wanted.

Gotta think burg could have guarded their shooter man to man. He was wide open. Didn’t move around too much to get his shot. 22 was very athletic and got to the run well. Great season burg.

#20 kind of reminded me of the Thomas kid from Fairland. 9 3's is impressive.

Awesome job to garaway. They blistered the nets. Moved the ball very well to get their shooters open looks.

Burg going to regional was an amazing feat this year. Congrats.

Yeah. Quick release ,but; there was no secret who was getting the ball. Him or 22 was gonna get the ball.

Was there. Wheelersburg wasn’t guarding them man to man period. And when zone got you where you are, you roll with it. Also, I believe Garaway beats Africentric.

Garaway was very well coached! They had their shooters in the right spot on every possession. Give them credit. The problem with zone defenses is good teams will always put their best offensive player against the other team’s weakest defender.

I do not anticipate Africentric with play zone against Garaway unless it is a trapping zone.

Congratulations Garaway on the win. Great tournament run by The Burg!
