Good to hear that Trey will be playing at Rio Grande........I always felt he was definitely good enough to play at the next level. He can be an impact player on the team.

Trey's instance may be one where the transfer portal can help him. I'm guessing he is disappointed not to be D1 but the transfer portal keeps that dream open. Let's say he goes to Rio and averages 30 ppg. If so, then he may get some D1 offers. D1 schools are going to play it safe and let the smaller school guys and smaller guys go NAIA or D2 and watch them at that level. People have no idea how many great athletes there are out there.
