What a joke for one of the largest schools in the SOC to play in the middle division. Move up to where you belong

Not sure if everyone got to see this or not but here's a rundown of the conferences. Also seems like it wasn't just set by numbers as South Webster wanted to stay in the big division.
The “smallest” schools division will include:
Ironton St. Joseph
Notre Dame
New Boston
Green
East
Clay

The “middle” schools division will include:
Eastern Pike
Western Pike
Symmes Valley
South Gallia
Northwest
Oak Hill

The “largest” schools division will include:
Waverly
Wheelersburg
West
Minford
Valley
South Webster

gosh this is infinitely better than what we had before.

Who was involved in making this decision? Northwest got the shaft when it comes to travel. Nearest opponent is western pike? Parents having to travel to symmes Valley and South Gallia? South Gallia will be hour and a half plus drive for some.

maybe the kids will get a chance to wins some ball games though. If you live in McDermott or NW school district, travel just comes with the territory - that's a given.

We don't need the move to "win some ball games". We've won a few games in some of these sports already.

Didn't say league titles. But they've been at least middle of the pack in some of these sports. How many league titles does everyone else have besides wheelersburg?

well, this is a basketball forum and thread, so excuse me for talking about basketball. This move will allow NW to compete for league titles, which I'm sure the kids would rather have - as opposed to saving a couple miles on a bus ride.

Other sports were brought up before in this thread, and it's the only one about this topic, sorry. I am curious what the number of league titles is for each school. I could be wrong, but doesn't oak hill have more than most?

I don't think they won in 04. Valley won back to back 03 and 04.

Probably should talk to the AD, because South Webster stated they wanted to play in the big division so going off of that I'm guessing Northwest wanted nothing to do with playing the bigger schools even though they're a bigger school. Sounds like the powers to be at Northwest wasn't concerned with the drive time because yeah you guys have couple rough ones in SV and SG.
