And, my memory says that our first great team made a name for itself by defeating Columbus St Charles in the Regional Semis and our 3rd great team lost to Akron St Vincent St Mary in the State Finals.... so it’s more or less the same thing.

Yep and then lost to a Wellsville team many thought they should have beat.

By the way, who is your 2nd great team?

State Tourney weekend has basically become an AAU tournament. I not joking when I say move it back to St. John. The games already suck and are made even worse playing in front of a 1/3 filled arena.

I've been taking my boys to First Four NCAA games in Dayton last few years instead of shelling out $500+ for 3 books of state tourney tickets plus hotel/food costs. I have no interest in watching Africentric v Deer Park state final and the attendance figures today are proving that I'm not alone.*

Agreed. My wife and I went last year and enjoyed it but didn’t choose to buy ticket books this year.

The only Game that came close to 10,000 today was the one in which 2 towns were involved.

St John’s would be better most every year. Unless Lebron comes back.

Yep...the cost of a couple books of tickets for the whole weekend vs the entertainment value provided just isn't worth it. The system is broken and until OHSAA figures it out, I'm not wasting money on the product they currently trotting out every March.*

Lol sorry about that! I was shocked the first time that I saw his name. Former HC at Dunbar.

And the score doesn't surprise me, I thought this would be the blowout of the Final Four. Just not a good matchup and Trotwood scores a ton. Hopefully they can make a run though.

Just imagine if the schools quit shelling out the money to send admin, teachers and coaches to take up the best seats. Might as well then play at the Convo or any local D1 HS around Columbus
