I did, should have done it earlier in life. Consultant work now. More money, my own schedule and choose my own jobs.

Exactly! When was the last time an NBA or college rim or backboard has been broken in warmups or game? And those rims are taking MAJOR abuse

One hell of a difference between a college board setup v a high schools set up.

You’re right. The biggest difference is the monsters in college and NBA hanging on them every minute vs the 5’11 white kid in high school doing layups and popping the front of the rim every 5th layup

And a typical NCAA/NBA rim and backboard set up cost about $20k and is engineered to withstand 280lb men hanging and swinging on it. Where still 50% of high schools are anchored to a wall on cheap steel with 4 eye bolts installed by the lowest bidder to a state contract, or by Larry Darryl and Darryl the maintenance guys.
