Obviously not a good game for New Boston, but looks like they may have had a couple of players out as well judging by box score posted by acm.*

Looking at Ironton Tribune article posted by acm, both Voiers played but no scoring from either. It did list the younger one fouled out.

Not sure where I saw it, but I think the Tigers were a little frustrated last night, resulting in some T's.

New Boston Glenwood Tigers 75
Notre Dame Titans 49

The Tigers had balanced scoring tonight as they defeated the Titans in New Boston. The Titans stayed close for the first quarter which ended at 23-19.
NB outscored ND 21-6 in the second quarter to lead by 44-25 at the half. The third quarter was even at 11 each ending 55-36 Tigers. New Boston held off the Titans in the final quarter 20-13 to finish off the game 75-49.

Scoring for the Tigers: De'Von Jones 21, Kyle Sexton and Tanner Voiers both had 17, followed by Grady Jackson 11, Brady Voiers 7 and Chase Clark 2.

New Boston goes to 8-1 on the season and 4-0 in SOC1. Notre Dame slips to 2-2 and 1-1.

The JV game went to the Titans 40-31. The JV Tigers drop to 1-7 and 1-2 in conference play.

Next up for the Tigers is 1/5 as they host the Western Indians 4-5, 3-1 and 1/8 they head back to Lawrence County to play the Symmes Valley Vikings 1-3, 1-2. The Titans host the Green Bobcats 1-7, 0-4 on 1/5 and travel up to the Western Indians 4-5, 3-1 on 1/8.

The Associated Press Ohio Boys Basketball State Poll is out and the New Boston Glenwood Tigers 8-1 are ranked at #3, behind #1 Antwerp 8-0 and #2 Kalida 9-1 in Division IV. The Trimble Tomcats 5-1 are ranked at #9. Congratulations to the Tigers and Tomcats.

The Tigers 4-0 in conference play welcome the Western Indians 4-6, 3-2 this evening in the Den.

The Tigers led after one at 18-13, at the half 40-23, after three 47-31 and the final 62-42.

Scoring for NB: Kyle Sexton 21, De'von Jones 14, Tanner Voiers 13, Chase Clark 5, Brady Voiers and Luke Henson 3 each, Kage Truitt 2 and Grady Jackson 1.

New Boston improves to 9-1, 5-0, while the Indians fall to 4-7, 3-3.

Next up for the Tigers is Friday 1/8 at the Symmes Valley Vikings 2-3, 1-2. Western has the Notre Dame Titans 3-2, 1-1 at home on 1/8 and the Manchester Greyhounds 0-4 at home on 1/9.

Western won the JV game 50-31.

The Tigers made the trip up to Willowwood and came away with the 61-49 victory over the Vikings.

Scoring for the Tigers: Kyle Sexton 22, Grady Jackson 13, De'von Jones 10, Tanner Voiers 9, Brady Voiers 5 and Chase Clark 2. Luke Leith of the Vikings led all scoring for the evening with 27 points.

New Boston improves to 10-1, 6-0 while the Vikings go to 3-4, 3-3.

The Tigers have three games next week. 1/12 they host the East Tartans 0-5, 0-4, 1/15 they go over the hill to meet the Clay Panthers 1-8, 1-3. Then on 1/16 the Tigers host the Racine Southern Tornadoes 0-8 to close out the week. The Vikings at are at the Northwest Mohawks 2-3 on 1/9, at the Western Indians 4-7, 3-3 on 1/12 and finish the week at the Notre Dame Titans 4-2, 2-1 on 1/15.

Symmes Valley won the JV game 50-26.
