Wouldn't Valley players be quarantined for 10 days? Same for Waverly and probably the referees?

Likely not within 6 ft for 15+ min or direct contact

No
I mean he could’ve touched one of his players or coaches. That can be a 14 day of nothing

Hope Coach Pierson is ok.

If I wasn't confused before I am now.
Waverly isn't in quarantine because they weren't around Norm?
Is Valley?
What if a player on the other team tests positive but doesn't enter the game? Does the opponent have to quarantine? With the tournament starting it's difficult to understand

I do not know for sure at all, not sure anyone does. Health departments of each county seem a bit different on this and many schools are different it seems.

Not sure any Valley kid was contacted by Notm or within 6 ft for 15+ minutes.

If a Valley kid tested positive but never got in the game....maybe only his teammates or coaches that actually may have been touched by him.

My kid and a Jackson senior (and all the JV kids that played) were quarantined by a Chillicothe JV kid who got in the final minute of the JV game. Chillicothe player had the ball and drove on my son, his elbow contacted my son’s jersey at his stomach and his arm grazed my son’s. Other varsity player for Jackson was quarantined as his arm touched the Chillicothe players arm 2x. Neither quarantined player was within 6 feet for more than 11 seconds but had direct contact. Others touching the ball after the Chillicothe player were ok.

Maybe others schools are different with it...but what I’ve seen is on court with for several minutes, or direct contact gets you quarantined for 14 days. A negative Covid test can get you back to school in 7 days but cannot get you back on the court quicker.

I’ve always said the sickness itself have not affected the schools or community as much as the quarantining of people. It’s ridiculous, it’s inconsistent and should stop Now ! Again what happens 2 yrs from now when a person gets covid ( because it’s not going to disappear) . Will they have to quarantine then? Doesn’t seem to be an end to the madness.

Hopefully there will be an effective vaccine that'll help mitigate the spread. It wont be a cure all, just like the annual flu, bit it should help prevent the paranoia.

Will players, in the future, be required to be vaccinated to play?
