What am I missing?

I think Huntington is up and coming in boys basketball.
Are the top teams senior loaded?

ZT - continues to have guys that can execute and flat out play the game. They will be well off with a couple absolute players indulging in their senior season.

Westfall - Joe Wray & company playing the most physical basketball in the area. They competed last year for a reason.

U - Coach will have them going - as always. Most notably the arguably best player in the area in Blake Fitch. Not convinced that they will keep the status and gold balls rolling in with the loss of some big time players in Hoops/Perkins. However, they reload yet again with Isaac Coy and CP.

Huntington - The Township has a lot to show up about on Friday nights. Frankie Hirsch showed this Fall why he may be the most potentially loaded player around. I have a feeling he’s going to compete night in and out in the conference.

SE - Wildcard

Piketon - Interesting team. If Coach Miller gets his guys where he wants then this team could be competitive. With Bo Henry and returner Jace Ritchie - these guys can knock anyone off.

PV - Lost a few dogs.

Adena - Need to make a push

You may be on to something here

Good call on Adena. Watched the livestream last night and was impressed. Looked like they had good size in the post, athletic guards, and the head coach is a winner.

Yep, they have a nice combination for success. Coach Day is outstanding and having Bradley along as an assistant should be a winning combination as well.

A very pleasant surprise from Adena. I think Huntington will be okay, but I came away very impressed with Adena.

I just wanted to come back when I was right for once that never happens. Adena is pretty darn good and I could see it when they scrimmaged.

They are good. How good? Tomorrow will be interesting to watch. Can they hang in there with Unioto?

Not Unioto good

Watched Unioto/Adena on Hudl- thought Adena held there own til late in the 2nd quarter- then they seem to get tired and Unioto upped the pressure a bit. Unioto missed alot of easy shots around the basket to start the game. Thought Unioto was not in sink on the offensive end at the beginning but as game went their offensive flow got better. Unioto can go inside or shoot from the outside and in the 2nd half the outside shot began to fall. Adena is a team I think will get better as the seaon goes. Francis kid can shoot from the outside and if the Garrison kid can stay out of foul trouble he can create problems inside. Unioto stays focused they will win the SVC- Adena continues to improve by years end could have a nice tourney run in D6. But hey its very early in the season.

Unioto went 1 for 11 in the first quarter and Adena tried to match it with a 2 for 11 in the third.

Game felt closer than the final score. First big game for those Adena kids, so I think they’ll just keep getting better as you said. They’ve got to find some ballhandling, just too many turnovers, but they have a nice mix that can make an impact throughout the season.
