This was a very close game at Gallia last year. Should be a good one tomorrow in Jackson.

15 seems about right -- if not, maybe Pfloyd has Jackson way too high?

... Macen Meadows, 6-3 jr, for Gallia Academy suffered an ankle injury vs Waverly - if he is not at 95-100% it will effect the outcome of this one ... Ty Reed soph PG for Gallia Academy will need to show continued improvement for GAHS to keep this one close as well ... Gallia has the deeper team, size ... should be a great game imo ... Jackson is a veteran TEAM - they make passes before players are open, nice interior passing that only veteran players/players who have played together for 4 varsity seasons make ... Jackson IS one of the Elite 8 teams ... the Ouija Board has JHS winning by less than 10 at home ... not because JHS is ranked too high but because Gallia Academy is a quality team this season imo ...

I agree if GA is unable to knock down shots and get inside the Ironmen win this one by 15+ easily

I’m wondering how many times Jackson has defeated Gallia Avademy by 15+ in the last 100 matchups. I’d guess less than 5 times

Is there a live stream of this game tonight? NFHS? Hudl? School-sponsored?

JHS Media will show everything in the JHS gym. It’s free and will have commentating…could be a couple of students, could be some sport based graduates or could be the radio guys lined up with it.

Meadows 6-3 is not dressing for Gallia Academy- could be a 10+ JHS game … Macen is a 15 ppg / strong with ball small forward - he’ll be missed vs this very good Ironmen team …

32-32 end of 3Q
Gallia has shot very well.

49-43 Jackson final
Jackson may have shot <10% from the FT line, and definitely <15% from 3PT.

Good win.

Gallia had a few boys play real well and hit shots. Jackson was Jackson. Free throws will improve and great intensity on defense. I was guessing a 40-35 game but that first qtr messed me up.

Congrats to the Ironmen on a hard-earned win over the Blue Devils. Agree that the Ironmen's defense turned the game around with maybe 3 to 4 minutes left in the game. I doubt very much that they will shoot Free Throws that poorly in any game the rest of the season. I think tonight they could have shot a higher percentage on their FT if they would have had a blindfold on.

I missed 2 pts for Gallia somewhere, but I had scoring as follows:
Jackson:
Crabtree 4, Woodard 7, Seimetz 9, Carroll 9, Jenkins 10, Wolford 10

Gallia:
#2 - 18pts, #10 - 14pts, #12 - 2pts, #50 - 7pts, ..... and I missed 2 pts somewhere.

Jackson:
3-14 FTs
2-19 3PTs
*I don't expect to see the shooting performance again, but figuring out a way to "will the win" through that, is a good thing.

Gallia rebounded very well in the 1st half, but Jackson returned the favor in the 2nd half. And Jackson's intensity on D was very good.
Some clutch steals late in the 4Q by Wolford, and a big 3 by Carroll sparked a great mini-run. Woodard's immediate 3 behind Carroll's gave great momentum for a little 8 or 10 point run that flipped the leaderboard in Jackson's favor.

Gallia is legit. I look for them to be a big threat late in season.

Good game all the way around for both teams.

2 of 19 can happen, but isn’t ideal…but, 3 of 14 from the line can’t happen in a win very often.

Based off of everything I’ve seen from Coach Morrow and the Ironmen, that will be fixed very quickly.

 might be a point of emphasis in practice.
