... Peebles is moving on up the rankings ! sitting at #19 before last nights game vs North Adams ... Coach Arey play's 8 deep ... has a team with length, perimeter scorers , players who can get to the rim off the dribble, quickness/speed to get out in transition & finish ANNNND wait for it ... wait for it ... the Indians have found a BIG MAN IN THE MIDDLE!!! - freshman, 6-4 Keegan Puckett - remember the name for he will be roaming the paint for PHS for the next 4 years - the young man is outstanding! a great napkin stat line from last night : IN only 3 quarters of play - 15 pts/3 offensive boards put back for buckets/ a pair of fgs that he ran the floor & converted in transition ... I don't keep rbs but he had at least 8-9 boards, multiple blocks on the defensive end ... Puckett didn't look the part of a "freshman" , the varsity stage was not too big for him - he owned the stage/the paint ... Peebles covers all 3 levels offensively with Puckett in the paint - they HAVE a post game that will keep getting better and better ... transition offense that pushes their opponent up and down the court ... the speed to play in an uptempo game and now with a post presence they can play in the half court with lots of options - penetrating the paint finishing at the rim, penetrating the paint - kicking back out to 3 point shooters, penetrating and dishing to a big in Puckett who can finish at the rim ... lots to like about the Indians this season!!! nice league W over North Adams last night sets the table for a good SHAC season with the ability to play with anyone on the schedule ...
