Does New Lexington have some lingering football injuries? Just looking at their roster, I would’ve thought that they would have been somewhat competitive so far. I know those guards that graduated were awesome, but man it’s been a big backslide.

There might be some football hangover, but their outside shooting has been horrible. And many of the players did not appear to be in basketball shape the game I saw them. I regard Deurr (sp?) as one of the best coaches in the MVL. I'm sure they will get some wins the last part of their schedule.

MVL from top to bottom in the last 4-5 years has been as good as it’s ever been. This year, 2-3 teams at the top and the average teams are winning some games ! Bottom teams are Not good !

I thought Maysville was supposed to be back in the big school division and Morgan back in the small division

Divisions should be based on mostly teams that consistently win. Morgan n R. View should always be in the small division. Size of the school doesn’t always bring consistently good athletic programs.

Morgan and River View have smaller classes coming in middle school and elementary grades. Morgan heads back to small division next year and River View will likely be in small school division in 3 years and both look to stay there for many years. Tri-Valley, Sheridan, John Glenn, and Philo look to be big school far into the future. Maysville, New Lex, and West M (2 of 3 in big) are near the cut off. West M not many years away from being 4th biggest school in MVL. Meadowbrook, Coshocton, and Crooksville firmly in small school division.

So far the rankings on the first post of this theme seem to be accurate based on game results.
