Top 5 Tournament Coaches in SEO

Post by DUNK1 »

Based on how they have done in the tournament. I wanted to narrow it down. Also any tournament success they have had in other sports can be considered too. If you want to rank more than 5 be my guest but put them in order from best as 1 and so forth. Here are my top few.

1. Howie
2. Norm
3. The guy at Warren
4. The guy at Maysville if they are considered SEO
5. ?

I might be partial, but statistics back me up. Coach Rob Beucler of Eastern Brown. He notched win #480(or 479) last night.Postseason Success: * 10 Southern Hills Athletic Conference (SHAC) Championships.
14 Sectional Championships.
4 District Championships.
1 Regional Title and a State Final Four appearance (2002).
Honors: Five-time SHAC Coach of the Year and the Associated Press Ohio Division III Coach of the Year in 2000. Pretty solid career and a phenomenal human being.

Do they still use that wet fart defense at southwebstern? Some old guy implemented that defense a few years ago.

Yes Beucler, and I also put Josh Arey in the mix. He has had maybe 1 player move in in the last 15 years,he works with his homegrown talent and he always has his team ready to go come March. He has had regional teams several years and run into buzzsaws., Speed is a great coach, Ryan Davis is a keeper and Berlin Hilands coach. I'm assuming the topic is current coaches.

Are we talking past, present or a combination of the two?

Last night's game between Beucler and Areys teams proved that they are very good coaches. I tout Arey cause he has had maybe one move in player during his tenure at Peebles since 2011 or so.

Coach Beucler is a CLASS act on/off court. Arey took a program headed in the wrong direction and has brought them to unprecedented heights.

Maysville is in the East District.

I would add Combs to that list, he has four district titles.
