... nice win for Coach Thomas & his Fairland Dragons ... new set of coaches for the Dragons, fun brand of basketball for the players I'm sure and definitely for those of us in the cheap seats - See shot/shoot shot ... lots of players in the FHS rotation - Coach Thomas played 10 ... the scoring as it has been all season is led by the senior duo of Trevor Lochow and Cliff Fransen ... vs Rdsville Eastern the srs. put up 45 of the Dragons 72 points on the scoreboard ... Lochow is such a good athlete - so quick when he wants to get to the rim, rebounds as well as a big man, is physical/doesn't back down from bigger opposing players ... he shot the ball well last season when he was a role player/this year as one of THE guys that is look at to lead the team - he is shooting even better/can score at all levels - in the paint off the dribble/transiton/midrange baseline jumper/floaters in the lane and the deep ball - outstanding ... Cliff Fransen was one the key players last year for the Dragons offensively and on the boards - he's turned it up a notch this year on offense and defense while still getting after it on the boards at both ends of the floor ... Gerald Love a newcomer to the lineup this season - he's a smooth shooting deep 3 machine - USUALLY if he makes one he's good for 3-5 ... he now draws defenders on the perimeter - opponents KNOW who G Love is and where he is on the floor ... over the course of the season the coaching staff at Fairland has developed a bench ... good minutes from Kinyon Smith who vs Rdsville Eastern carried Fairland in the 2nd quarter as he scored the only fgs for FHS - draining 4 three pointers and 13 pts ... Kiyan Page has been solid in relief, Stephen Jones has been the lone big off the bench in providing boards and defending the opposition bigs ... Maddox Gue only had a putback bucket vs Rdsville Eastern 2pt BUT I've been impressed with his ability to drive baseline all year and finish at the rim ... Fairland will take on Chesapeake tonight at the Peake's Persin Court - rivalry game/ last season I watched 2 of the best high basketball games that I have seen in my life between Chesapeake and Fairland ... hoping for the same tonight ...
