The Trojans should have no problem blowing past Minford to get their first win. No disrespect to Minford but they did lose to a young Jackson ballclub, and the Trojans are supposed to have a pretty decent team this year!
Trojans 79-62

I went to see Minford play Jackson and they are not a bad team, they looked pretty good at times I thought.

Brisker had 16 or 18 points, and the slone kid can also had a pretty good game.

they had another kid , "forget his name" that played hard and quick the entire game.

Just hoping the Trojans can get off to a better start than in previous years.

Not saying it will pan out that way, but the schedule is set up better for Portsmouth this year with Minford and Northwest early in the year. That sure has to be a lot better than opening with Zanesville, Chillicothe, Wheelersburg, or Warren. I'm sure Coach Shoemaker will have some fond memories going up against his old school and coaching with his former head coach on the sidelines for Minford with Coach Copley.

I dont see this game being very close. Portsmouth's height is going to be a huge advantage. I believe that Cadogen for P-town is around 6'7 and Minford's tallest player is around 6'3. Portsmouth also has some speed at the guard postion. I'll take Portsmouth by 15.
