Fed Hock VS Eastern 1/11

Post by JayKay »

Federal Hocking hosts Eastern on Friday, 1/11. Thoughts on this one?

I believe Smith is still out and McCune is unknown. I believe FH will win regardless. Have heard Eastern has a good JV squad. FH's JV squad is sacrificed for Varsity. The best sophomores at FH are dressing varsity and not given much play at the JV level. In typical years these guys would be a solid and talented JV squad, but FH has only a four seniors and two juniors, so sophomores have to step up. Eastern will likely win the JV game. But it would be real interesting to watch those FH sophomores play Eastern JV. But that seems unlikely with Coach Vales having two injured Varsity players.

Good luck Lancers!

I think Eastern's JV is made up of all freshmen.

Have heard their JV squad is mostly freshman, but that they are a solid group.

I've only seen them a few times but they play well as a team.

Easterns JV is very fundamentally sound.

I'd say it depends on FH's health. They didn't use much of a bench even with the two players playing.

Who knows? Let's play the game and see how this one turns out. Didn't expect FH to lose to Meigs, but, they did. I understand that they did not play very well. Perhaps Meigs had something to do with that. I was not there, so I cannot say.

Good luck to FH against the Eagles.

I'll go with WHO KNOWS! Maybe Eastern can show up for more than just a half. Good Luck boys!! Lets get back on the right track.

Coin Flip.

I think Fed Hock will control inside. They better or Howie and the boys will run them to death. Eastern always plays hard.

The consensus on this one was wrong, "Who Knows" didn't win........

Fed Hock 64

Eastern 49

Fed Hock lead by 20 on a couple of occassions, without one starter, and another who is still "wounded" and not playing at capacity.

Cory Vales leads the way again for the Lancers, 14 points, 18 rebounds, and a big steal and two-handed throw down to get the Lancer faithful fired up and into the game in the second half.

Congrats to Coach Vales and the Lancer men tonight!

SD-

Actually Cory had two big dunks tonight. The two handed one you mentioned, and a nice tomahawk dunk for the first two points of the game.

Jared Gandee put up some serious numbers as well. From my napkin stats, I had him for 11 points, 6 steals, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

I had Vales for 14 rebounds.

Justin Stanley was very close to another double double.

Nice win for the Lancers. Nice crowd from FH and Eastern.
