Hitchens 25 points, Chambers 29 pts......game mvp 21pts 4th qtr...tons of rebounds, Dawes 5 pts, Beverly 6 pts, Knights 9 pts, Ron Smith 10 pts........great game off the bench......didnt give rebound totals but Chambers and Ron Smith had a boatload.

Humpty was absolutely unbelievable in the first quarter. 4 three pointers, a couple of which coming from behind the NBA line, setting up teammates, and like Hitchbone said, he didn't force anything all night. when the shots were there he knocked them down, the rest of the night he got everyone else involved. NCH spent alot of defensive energy on slowing him after that huge first quarter and the rest of the kids stepped up and did their part. i thought Ron Smith and Seth Dawes were awesome on the glass tonight. Ray Chambers had foul trouble but they kept Chilli in the game until he was able to return in the 4th quarter. and return he did!!!!

here is how a 4 minute spurt went in the 4th quarter for Chilli: :-D

Chambers missed dunk
Hitchens assist to Chambers for a dunk
Hitchens assist to Chambers for a dunk and the foul for the AND 1
Chambers dunk
Hitchens assist to Chambers for a reverse slam!!!

Chilli really showed some poise and their defense was great in the 4th quarter. Rebounding was great all night. and like i said I couldn't be more proud of these kids. everyone had a part in this victory. Hump showed great unselfishness in not forcing things when they tried to take him out of the game, and probably had 10 assists on the night, Ray was great on the boards and ended up with 29 pts and really lifted chillicothe emotionally in the 4th with all those dunks. Caleb Knights was his usual solid self who frustrated NCH defensively, Stu came up big in the final quarter when it mattered, Seth played very much within himself and executed when he got an open look, and Ron Smith continues to be johnny on the spot, key buckets at times we needed a score. he's always in the right position at the right time. he's really progressing nicely.

Chilli showed they are starting to put it all together and they are a serious threat in D2. This team is already experienced but with confidence of pulling out of situations with such an emphatic finish will only further their progression. Way to go Cavs!!

NCH is an awesome D3 team. I've got them penciled in to make it to the title game in my bracket thats for sure! NCH vs. Cleveland VASJ

Wow! That SE sectional is loaded...

good thing for the teams in that sectional - the top 4 advance to the convo. I wouldn't be surprised to see a LE-greenfield and Chilly - Circleville district final matchups.

1 Chilli

8 Unioto
9 Miami Trace

4 Logan Elm
5 Courthouse

2 McClain

7 Hillsboro
10 Waverly

3 Circleville
6 Northwest

Not 100% but I think the #1 seeds will play the #4 seeds in round 1 in Convo. Ie #1 VC vs #4 LE and #1 CHilly vs #4 from Wellston. Looks like VC could play LE, CVille or Greenfield 1st game in the Convo. Any of which would be a great matchup. However, at seasons end I dont think Meigs will be the #4 in Wellston. I look for Chilly to match up against Marietta, FU or Gallia.

While it would be great to see two Pickaway schools in the district finals, I wouldn't under sell programs like Greenfield, Vinton and Warren.

That Southeastern three is going to be the seed no one wants. Ticket to play Chillicothe in the district finals. Most would rather wait till the regional semifinal. No disrespect to Vinton or any other team but Chilli is the big favorite right now.

For example, if Logan Elm wins out till the draw I'd seat them at two over Greenfield with their schedule and everything. But that is a big if. Greenfield is going to win a lot of games between now and then and Logan Elm has several tough games remaining before then.

Chillicothe won't be beaten. I have seen virtually every team in the SE save two, and Chillicothe is head a shoulders above all else. If they lose it will be a game where a team can hold them under 45.

bman - you're right..noone wants that 3 seed and play chilly in the district final, possibly - so LE and Cville should give it to mcclain.

if i was le or cville, i'd take my chance with the 4 seed and take on VC in the first game of the district.

I am not sure, but doesn't the SE District get two out to the regionals this year? I believe they do, although I have not seen the brackets yet. And if that is the case the two #1's might not meet each other until the first round of the Regionals.

hawk

that is correct the SE district gets 2 teams to the regional.

So, VC is going to have to beat 2 of these 3 teams, just to have the priveledge of playing Chilly:

Logan Elm , Circleville, Greenfield McClain

Sweet, I'd say Greenfield has the track for the two seed with two losses. LE has three losses and Cville four. Now if Greenfield drops a game or two and the latter two win out till the draw, it'll get interesting. Personally I'd seed Chilli, LE, Gfield and Cville in that order.

no matter when you do it, you have to play chillicothe to get out of the district. I look forward to seeing the competition for those spots because after Chilli (which can lose if they come out with a big head and play flat), there is a very even playing field in this district.

Incorrect, the SE has two berths to the regional this year so there are two district champs. The two southeastern champions play each other in the regional semifinal. I think most would rather put off having to play Chilli until the Sweet 16. Chillicothe is beatable but they have to be off some and their opponent has to be hitting on all cylinders.

Warren at a nice 9-2 gets a real tough test this week with Z-Ville and then Chilly. I believe they have another tough non-league Saturday. If they pull off an upset this week, I put them at #1 is this Sectional (even at 3 losses).

GO CAVS!!!
