2/10 Alexander @ Vinton County

Post by Power 105 »

Because Athens/N-Y has been moved to 2/18 because of weather, our new game tonight will be Alexander (4-12, 2-6) @ Vinton County (10-6, 6-1).

The Spartans attempt to derail Vikings on a three game winning streak.

It will also be Hall of Fame night in McArthur as the Vikings honor two individuals from the 1991 Football team that was unbeaten.

Join us for pregame coverage at 7:30 on Power 105.

Listen online here: www.athensi.com - search WXTQ FM on the lower right side of the page.

Thanks for listening and good luck to both teams.

The entire 1991 football team is to be inducted tonight along with Harold Caudill joining two of his three sons and long time book keeper Jerry Hawk.
Congrats to all.

GO VIKES

I just don't understand how VC could be down 20 to a 4-12 Alexander team while playing at home....doesn't even sound feasible....but neither does Wellston giving up 73 points to Meigs.

Basketball is silly.

Yes, 93. I know.

I92, the Vikings were lucky to shoot 20% for the evening. For example, the Vikings were 2 of 20 from behind the arc. As hot as they were against Meigs, they were just as cold.

VC took 20 more shots....that makes up for the difference in FG %
