2/10 Wellston @ Meigs

Post by tortilla2 »

Wellston coming off a big win over Zane Trace Tuesday night. Meigs coming off another loss last Saturday night to River Valley. Warrington and Ousley have been playing very well for the rockets and Michael Davis and Cody Mattox have stepped up for Meigs. Who wins this game tomorrow night?

I have been known to be wrong before, but I don't think Wellston wins this one by 35. This is the last game for the Meigs Seniors in their own home and they will be playing with a lot of heart and determination. Yes Michael Davis and Cody Mattox have stepped it up lately because they have finally got the chance to see the court for an amount of time.

Yes I may have my rose colored glasses on but I'm very proud of my son this year for having heart and not quitting when I sure would have if in the same boat. He may not be an all-american player, but when he was in the game for his limited time, he produced. Led the team in scoring for 5 games (4 of those games were with less than 10 minutes playing time)

With that being said they say you learn about people with how they react to situations. Meigs may only have 1 win, but so many of those boys have showed they are young gentlemen and stuck it out throughout the season and were proud to be a Meigs Marauder despite their record.

Despite their Record Meigs Has a decent team. Meigs is also a hard place to win at. Wellston better come ready to play and not take the night off like they did at Ironton! Wellston did some good things defensively against Nelsonville I hope they keep it up! And I hope they manage their timeouts wisely! Rockets are playing well right now at a very good time! Good luck Rockets!

Too many Lou Holtz-like comments on here. Meigs will definately play very hard and fight till the final buzzer....but they aren't going to keep this close.

Wellston 71
Meigs 36

I've been saying it all year - I know Meigs has had some bad games - but these kids can play when they 'want to.'
