MEIGS VS. NY - 12.9.2011

Post by Team P 2 »

Buckeyes traveling down to Meigs tonight. They played really hard against a tall Amanda team...what is everyone's thought for tonight's game? Will the buckeyes get their first win?

They should, but who knows. I figured that this year, regardless of who the coach was, they would contest for the league and at least get to 14 or 15 wins. Oh well I guess

They haven't even played a league game yet. How can you say they're not going to contest for the league? A LOT of basketball to be played. Let's not get carried away just yet.

Meigs is a tough place to win. They usually have a great crowd and their players pick it up a notch down there. It'll be an uphill battle for the Buckeyes. They need to BOX OUT! I think rebounding will be a key factor in determining who wins tonight. Nelsonville-York can't let Meigs have 3-4 chances to score each time down the floor.

NY will start a winning streak tonight. I know it sounds odd, but they will benefit from being on the road. No home town refs that don't like the coach calling this game. I doubt the 3 officials for tonights game cares if Jay gets fired or not. So they will not call as though they want NY to lose. I still say NY wins at least 16 games, and wins a the first boys league title of the year. Probably the only boys team to win a league title this year.

If NY loses tonight, it might turn into a long season. If NY wins tonight, and win tomorrow night at the convo, they should be ok. Consistancy is going to be the key.
