South Gallia should be the underdog here.....but they are no slouch....very much a TEAM. They can hit the 3 ball and have an athletic slashing player.

I think SG is one of the top 8 teams in D4...but I think Southern is one of the top 4 teams...and is at home.

I'm not sure if your're trying to get a little dig in at SG or not. But I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and just answer the question. i don't know if they are a powerhouse or not. But i will say that they are decent ball team. I think that the SG defense just got them rattled early on in the game. I don't know what cross lanes schedule is and i really don't care. But i will say that they should win games this year.

Then i apologize for assuming the worst. i really have no dog in the SG fight. i'm just somebody who enjoys local athletics and it seems like there are always people on this site who want to fuss about the schedule. Sg boys looked good on friday. they played with alot of hustle. they are a young team who made their share of mistakes but it was exciting to see them get that first win.

I will take Southern in this one. But one thing you can count on with SG they will play hard. I noticed last year they improved as the season went on. They took Waterford down to the wire in a sectional game they were favored to lose by about 30 pts. If Southern plays ball like they can they win. Keep it rolling Tornadoes!

This game should be a good measuring stick for the young Rebels to tell them where they are at now in comparison to where they need to get.

Good Luck Rebels!

No clue of his name and can't recall his number (maybe #13)

I watched them at the Jackson scrimmage that also included Paint Valley.

SG was looking pretty solid all-around.....not great but a pretty consistent looking team that played hard.

I would love to see Southern pull off another win tomorrow night. You guys shouldn't count SG out though. I went to the playoff game against Waterford last year and they flipped a lot of peoples heads. Dont know how many they lost to graduation though. Can someone tell me when the game starts? Feels like I haven't seen a high school basketball game in a year.

Like mtswngrvsg said, this is a game that the young Rebels will find out how they stack up against a top D4 team in the area. The Rebels are young starting 2 Seniors, 2 Juniors, and 1 Freshman. A win tonight would be HUGE for a young team that could use all of the confidence that they can get.

I hope SG does well in all of its sports.

But I have to say that 4 upperclassmen out of five starting is not young. Maybe not very experienced at the Varsity level, but definitely not young
