Warren at Portsmouth 1/22

Post by bankshot »

Warren is coming in with a three game winning streak and Portsmouth is coming off a tough loss to ironton...the last time these two met warren didnt play well at all and was in the game the whole way...hopefully coming off this winning streak and gaining some confidence the warriors will be ready to play and get back towards the top of the league....

Portsmouth is supposed to be back at full strength for this game.......Tre Underwood missed the Ironton game, but sophomore Dion McKinley stepped up his game against the Fighting Tigers in his first starting spot. Together Tre and Dion should be a load for opponents in the post........the Trojans' best basketball is ahead of them.

They have to be focused right from the start.......PHS has had frequent slow starts......they have been a good team at coming from behind, but it would be nice to be playing with the lead.......at Warren, the Trojans fell behind 19-10 after the first quarter but outscored the Warriors 65-50 the rest of the way. Portsmouth outscored Ironton 50-41 after falling behind 19-4 after 1 period. PHS outscored Chillicothe 21-17 in the second half only to lose 45-42.

sounds like if the warriors can get out to an early lead and hang on it should be a good game...i think the warriors have played their best in the second half all year as well...going to be an exciting game and some good food before the game

Have to say i'm nervous about this trip but can't go against the Warriors they are playing very good ball lately. If they can get to shoot some FT's (and make them) i see the Warriors in a upset by 7.

Well WARRIORS???? ITS CRUNCH TIME! PLENTY OF CONFIDENCE, BUT NO ROOM FOR ERROR AT THE TROJANS HOMECOURT! PRESSURE HERE BECAUSE ANY LOSS AND THE LEAGUE TITLE MIGHT BE LOST...
THE NEXT 3 LEAGUE GAMES INCLUDING THE 2 WITH JACKSON(IF I HEARD RIGHT) ARE WHATS GONNA SHOW WHAT KIND OF TEAM THE WARRIORS ARE AND IF THEY ARE READY TO COMPETE WITH THE ELITE?
IF THE OTHER BOYS LIKE KNOST-LANG-FIVECOAIT-ELLENWOOD WERE EVER GOING TO STEP-UP AND REALLY TURN UP THEIR GAME...ITS NOW...(cant say the Marietta Game was turning it up.sorry)...SO GOOD LUCK BIG BLUE AND HAVE A SAFE TRIP..... IF THE WARRIORS LOSE ANY OF THESE THEN LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THE FIRST WARRIOR C C STARTING LINE-UP....DISCUSSED WITH MR. PHIL JACKSON HIMSELF....COMING SOON?

Thank you for the insightful post Warrior C C. Warrior nation is grateful for your existence and basketball knowledge. Why don't you just give us your starting lineup so Maddox can debate on it.      After he sees it he might just outbid Phil for your services. All players did turn up their games against Marietta only a donkey would not say that.

Tough game here, long travel, and need to get out of the gate early.....Confidence strong, and gettin some scoring from everyone...Good Luck!
JV's- Keep it going...Just keep clicking on all cylinders...Looking STRONG! That MOTION OFFENSE brings back the AAU days....Awesome! All the AAU work is seperating you guys from the average player...Really paying off! Tear it up!
Warrior CC- If you are planning on making the trip, maybe take the wrong turn and forget your way home!
Heard there is a NICE SENIOR CITIZENS HOME in that area, The first month is free courtesy of The Warrior Nation!

This should be a good game with Warren trying to make a statement that they can win and to keep the streak alive. Portsmouth is going to be looking to avenge their resent loss...should make for one heck of a game!

I'm going to go with Warren by 6

Yeah I'm liking Warren in this one. The boys know how big this game is and this is the first hurdle to making a run for a SEOAL title. Warren makes it happen by 5.

The Trojans won at Warren without Tory Horne and sophomore Dion McKinley........now both are in the starting lineup after their eligibility was restored........in 2 games, Tory has averaged 23 PPG, while Dion scored 8 vs. Ironton, in addition to pulling down about 10 rebounds and several blocked shots with his 6-5 frame.

The winner of this game is still in the hunt for the SEOAL title.

This will be tough considering the Trojans have some new additions....but a must win for the Warriors to stay in the league hunt and build momentum towards the post season....WCC>>directions to Portsmouth>stay on 32 all the way to Cinncinati then go west....

Will be very surprised if Portsmouth doesn't prevail in this one. I look for a spread of about 8-10 points.

This game has me worried....

I heard yesterday we will be without Tre Underwood for at least two weks now,wit his foot infection.

Dion Mckinley, and Adam Bray will have to step iup to help us while Undertwood is out

Wife reported in that Warren won 66-64 in OT at the buzzer on a shot by Austin Cunningham. Great road win by the Warriors. JV's also won.
