Tom Petty won his 500th game as head coach of Bloom-Carroll with a 62-54 decision over Hamilton Township in a Mid-State League Buckeye game. Petty, who has been on the bench in Carroll for 30 seasons as head coach, has spun out many heartbreaking hits for opponents, collecting nine district titles, 13 league champions, a state tournament appearance and a .731 winning percentage. Always fun to watch a fundamentally sound, good defensive crew in Carroll.
