They gave a score on 107.5 during the 1st half of the Green/East game and I think they said it was 28-16 Burg late in the 2nd quarter.

I wouldn't want anything to do with a Tom Barrick-coached team with nothing to lose...Oak Hill will be in for a dogfight Friday night.*

Burg won I think 56-39 but looks like Valley has 2 more injured starters big # 11 and # 1.

Nice tune-up for the Burg getting ready for an epic battle against the Oaks of Oak Hill.

Yates and Coleman did not play last night for Valley... The Indians played hard, but Yates is the engine that makes that team go. It was a neat atmosphere at the old high school gym last night, I think they should play a game there every year.

Actually, the final was 57-42. Not taking anything away from Burg, but would have been a much different game with Yates and Coleman. Valley was without 2 of their top 3 scorers and their ball handler Yates. Barrick took advantage of that and pressed which he would not have been able to do with Yates in the game. The boys played hard for 4quarters and had it at about 7 or 8 with the ball in the 3rd. Hopefully Dwyer and Webb are not hurt too bad. Good luck to both teams in the tournament.

I totally agree with you grad that having those players out made an impact on the quality of the game, but I do feel regardless of who played, this was big on a mental standpoint for the Burg. They now have won two games in the same week they face off with Oak Hill and that to me can only be a good thing if you are aware of their season. This team needed to get some momentum going into the tourny.

Burg played almost the entire season last year without Lang (knee). This year the Pirates have been without Schank (shoulder) the entire year. Injuries are part of the game and you have to go with what you have on that given night. IMO, Yates would have played if this had been a tourney game but why risk additional injury? Burg played 3 solid quarters last night but had a rough 3rd quarter on the offensive end. Best of luck to both teams in tournaments.

Good move by Valley to not play the banged up guys...gaining nothing by doing that. Cant win the SOC and the tourney seed is already done..
