Wellston led at the half 36-31. The Tigers took the lead at 52-51 with just over five minutes to go in the game. The Rockets outscored NB 17-2 to pull out the win.

Congrats Rockets!

Good run down a_c_m! Sounds like the Tigers fought hard but came up just short! Should be a great one at the Tiger Den next Friday when the Panthers come to town!

The Clay Panthers 73
The New Boston Glenwood Tigers 72

This game was a hard fought win for Clay. The outcome was in doubt until the final buzzer.

New Boston jumped out to a 14-4 lead in the first quarter and held for a 16-14 lead after 1. Clay takes the lead at 19-16 with 6:47 in the second and led 30-29 at the half. After 3, it was Clay 55-52 and the final 73-72 in favor of the Panthers. Clay also won the Junior Varsity game! Congrats Panthers!

I was impressed with NB ability to hit the three with defenders on them, 9 total for the night. The Buckley boy was driving past Clay like they were standing still (which in some cases, they were) and laying the ball in. They also crashed the boards well. Overall, I was more impressed with NB play from what I had heard preseason. Good luck the rest of the season. (except for your trip out to Clay) :-)

First West game I've seen this year. Outside shooting seems a little stronger this year. West plays hard and fast. MUST cut down on the turn overs. Congrats on the win!!

Green Bobcats 51
Glenwood Tigers 38

The Cats beat the Tigers in New Boston on Friday night. After 1, it was Green 9-8, at the half all tied up at 22 each, after 3..... 37-34 Cats, and the final Green outscoring the Tigers 14-4 to win 51-38.

Green improves to 2-1 (2-0) while NB falls to 0-4 (0-2). The Tigers are off until December 28th and 29th where they travel up to Lynchburg, Ohio (West of Hillsboro) in the Lynchburg Clay Wilkin Scholarship Tournament. I believe Lynchburg is the team that the Tigers meet at 8:00 on 12/28. Lynchburg Clay is 3-0, having defeated Huntington 47-44, Whiteoak 48-45 and Ripley 72-43. Green meets the Wheelersburg Pirates tonight in the Burg and hosts the Minford Falcons on December 21th. Congrats Bobcats! Good Luck tonight! Tigers keep working hard, it seems the final quarter is the one that haunts us each game. Good Luck!

Green must have had a really hot shooting night against Clay. I expected them to be winning some of the past few games after watching them play.

Lynchburg-Clay will be hosting the first annual Wilkin Scholarship Tournament on December 29-30. Paint Valley, New Boston, Whiteoak and Lynchburg-Clay will be playing in a 4 team tournament. The JV Tournament will be played at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. each day. Admission prices will be $2 for adults and $1 for children, with all money going to the Wilkin Scholarship.

The Varsity games will begin at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. each day and everyone school age and above will be charged $5. Anyone with a Lynchburg-Clay pass will be asked to pay $5, with all that money going directly to the Wilkin Scholarship fund.

ACM,

I have been unable to track down the Whiteoak/New Boston score? Any chance you can dig it up?

I may be going to the Notre Dame game tomorrow and I will see if I can find out. It was never published in our local paper and I have not been able to find it either.
