Belpre Mourns Death of Cheerleader!!!!

16 year old Emily Spencer died Wednesday evening from what is being called a heart attack caused from a virus that struck her Monday morning at her home. Emily was a junior varsity cheerleader for Belpre. Please remember the Spencer and Helmick families in your prayers. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.


Emily you will be missed, be at peace.

Heartbroken prayers from my household to Emily's family. I could not even imagine the pain of losing a child.

The Spencers are my wifes cousins. Emily was a wonderful young woman who had a very special relationship with God. Why things like these happen, we will never know, we can only find solace knowing that Emily is now in a place that everyone of us should pray to be. It is unimagineable? to me that someone so young could be lost so quickly. I do know that all the prayers from everyone is appreciated by them and that the outpouring of love from the community was amazing. My girls will miss you Ms Emily.

A friend of mine posted on facebook about her passing out before school Monday. Ah so terrible. Makes me think of the saying... the good die young....

Ours is not not to question why, but someday we will know why.....
