most are picking Waterford, should be interesting to see how the Trojans fare without Allison

The Wildcats had 5 of their top 8 out with injuries but may have 3 of them back for this week. This week would be their first week of practice with most of the team available. I will take Portsmouth in a close one but if the game was in mid-January I would take the Wildcats.

Don't really know what to expect from the Trojans because it's their first game. They are just coming off a scrimmage in which they defeated Athens and overall in the preseason have fared pretty well.

trojandave ... is this game still being played ? I saw where Waterford postponed their game vs Wahama WVa last night or maybe it was Wahama who postponed ? at any rate the game is being played in February now LOL ... I have heard that a number of Waterford players are injured ... not sure what we will be able to tell from this one IF it is played as scheduled Saturday evening ...

... trojandave - are the games tomorrow night/Friday and Saturday AT Portsmouth HIgh School ? or are they are Shawnee State ?

Actually Athens defeated Portsmouth in the scrimmage 53-52. 69-61 if you count the 5th quarter they played.

Waterford should beat Portsmouth by 10 ....at least.....Ironton manhandled Portsmouth at the previews in the 1st quarter with both teams starters playing...2nd quarter ironton put subs in and Portsmouth left the starters in for like 3 minutes of quarter and scored all their points...... I know # 24 is suppose to be their big star and go to man but he shot way to much and took bad shots that hurt Portsmouth in that 1st quarter.....You have to play as a team.....

At no point in time did Ironton "manhandle" Ptown. If I'm not mistaken the score was either 12-11 or 13-11 after one. Portsmouth then proceeded to control the 2nd quarter and the game as Ironton's bench was slim at the preview.

Shoehorn: Thanks for the correction.......I did not go to the scrimmage, but was told Portsmouth came out on top......obviously that was not the case, but still a good showing by the Trojans against a good Bulldogs team.
