What is the consensus on these techniques and what coach is best at them?

JD Secrest gets the stomp going at Marietta. Often not even at the refs just for fun.

it is funny when a coach does any of these things especially on a "right" call. you have to just sit back and shake your head.

The stare is my favorite. But with most good refs or maybe I should say experienced refs, none of these work. Refs can get on a little power trip of their own. I think most of you know what I mean.

You left out the dag gone scowl Carl use to use. You guys think Howie Codwell scares these refs these days? Most of these guys couldn't even ref back when Carl was in his hay day. Back when we almost won the whole danged state Carl could get any ref to give him a call. Cause they knowed if they didnt give him the call they wouldnt be reffin much longer. Carl would black ball em. Howie scares these guys now cause they are soft. Hell I even saw a few ladies reffin the last couple years. Yea Howie scares them, but Carl wouldnt even have let them on the floor back when we almost won it all. Them was days of real ref scaring.

My personal opinion a few years back i saw a buddy league all star team play a game and i guess the coach wasn't happy with some calls so the coach had two players double team the ref all the way down the floor. When the ref realized what was going on he assessed the coach with a technical! It was pretty funny and the ref was very embarrassed. I don't know how intimidating that would be to an official but it would definitely get his attention.
