I don't know....Akron doesn't really have any great quality wins against anybody. Their record is nice, but I see Ironton winning by 14.

... too much Zac Carter/Trey Fletcher for Akron Buchtel to handle ... 9-1? surprised at the poor records for AB's opposition so far this year ... the Fighting Tigers AREN'T the status quo that is on the AB schedule ... I'town by 15+ in this one, at this point in the season Coach LaFon's squad is "fine tuning", that's what the IHS schedule has done/is doing (which is exactly what Coach LaFon intended) - working on improving every aspect of the IHS game as a TEAM ... if I keep typing I'm going to talk myself into 20+ Tigers LOL ...

While it's tough to get a good read on Buchtel and its opposition, at least some people think they are pretty good. MaxPreps has Buchtel at #8 in Ohio D-II, Ironton #7 in D-III. JJ Huddle has Buchtel #11 in D-II, Ironton #6 in D-III. CalPreps predicts Ironton to win, but by only 66-63.The Akron-Canton area has historically produced a lot of good basketball in the likes of Akron Central-Hower, Akron SVSM (Lebron!), Barberton, Canton McKinley, and others. As recently as 2010, Buchtel finished the regular season 19-1, ranked #1 in the final AP Poll, and boasting a win over legendary Dayton Dunbar.The Griffins have the same coach, and are currently #2 in what they call the City Series for Akron. They have been handling things pretty well on the hardwood for some time.

I look for a very fast-paced, up-and-down the court game on Saturday night. If Ironton does not come out ready to play, the Tigers could quickly find themselves trying to play catch-up to the big city boys from up north.

Fletchers Dunk attempt was throwing the ball up against the Backboard and then trying to slam it and he missed.
