Ironton takes on North Adams in the District Semi Finals at the Convo

Lets go Tigers first round out of the way!!!! Time to play some TIGER BALL!!!!!!!! Lets get this one rolling early and not look back!!!!!!!!!!

Ironton is a VERY good team but they better bring their "A-game" against North Adams not the one they brought against Burg. I watched North Adams destroy Huntington last night and I think NAs record is somewhat deceiving, I think they are playing better than they were early on. Should be a fun game to watch!

C+ to a B- game will do for this game.
If you slow the game down, well you see what happened to the burg. If you want to try to run with I-town, BIG MISTAKE!!!
That is what they want to do. Make it as fast as possible.

A full day of Hoops at the Convo, can't wait.

This is not even going to be a game Valley and Minford both beat North Adams by 20+pts Ironton will do the same or worse..

... did Ironton pay it's membership dues to the Convo for this year? if I recall from last years loss vs Portsmouth the Fighting Tigers had NOT paid up, lids were apparently put on the rims at IHS's end of the court as I'town could only score 5 points in the entire first half, "0" points in the 2nd quarter ... Ironton had 27 TO's in that game as well ... on paper NA vs Ironton is a matchup that does not favor North Adams but in the post season anything can happen and has - especially if memberships have not been paid ... looking forward to getting my first look at both the Fighting Tigers and NA this season ... Best of luck to both teams ...

Anyone know who to watch for on the North Adams team, what kind of size do they have?

NA has some size and shooters, better skill players then Burg, if they are smart and bring the same style and guard correctly on defense, it will be tight.

Ironton by 12 with free throws late.

North Adams will need to bring their A game and Ironton be off for N.A. to steal the W. Not saying it can't happen.

They have good size. Their starting center Levi Bales is 6'6" and Seth Sparks who comes off the bench is 6'5". Kris King(SG-about 6'1") and Bales both made the all league team for them. They are fairly deep, their 3rd best player is not far off skill wise from their 6th.

That's because none of us want to talk smack and then have to hear about it if we would somehow get beat (which I don't think we will). We know we have a good team and would rather they prove that on the court. Plus I think we are all still in shock after last years game with Portsmouth. I do think that the boys have grown up a lot since then and are more grounded. I for one am holding my breath and waiting to see what happens. This team has the potential to go all the way, but as you know anything can and does happen during tournament time.

My heart tells me NA, my head tells me Ironton. Cant wait to see the Ironton team, havent got to see them play yet. Looking forward to Saturday, so many good games.

86 Tiger, the boys basketball has seen the best fans lately. I was just meaning across the board. Football games, girls basketball, etc. I've been to a lot of games the last few years and it seems like Ironton fans sit on their hands and "expect" the teams to win. I guess that's a testament to how good the teams have been through the years when expectations are that high.

Good point though about not talking smack ........... I just hope our crowd can match the other teams at the Convo!

I hope NA can keep it close in to the 4th quarter then who knows. If Ironton jumps out with a big lead early could be a long night.

Any NA fans got a list of their wins vs losses? Or a starting line-up?

NA lost to Valley by 23 and Minford by 13.

NA might keep it close at the half if they slow the game down. If not Ironton will win this one rather handily.
