If I were coaching I'd want the attention on the kids not me and certainly not have people selling a shirt that promotes the coach! I'm surprised he hasn't ask them to stop selling them!

I was told that this year’s t-shirts say something about the stomp not working and Howard been losing his brakes.

From my research I found that Howie started teaching and coaching at Racine Southern in 1975. He was there until he went to Eastern in 1998. He stayed at Eastern until 2011, when he went to FH. He had a house on the same property near Tuppers Plains while he coached at all three of those schools. Upon talking to the AD at Trimble I found that he is now living in a house in the Trimble district.
Finally something that we can agree on.... :) I think he was an assistant to Carl in '75 then took over when Carl left. I would guess that was around 1980 but not sure.
He did not take over for Carl until around 87. The only time he lived in the same house was his years at his alma matter beginning in fall of 98 and remained there while at FH and is still there at times while renting a place in Trimble district. All of this is meaningless

Heard from a really good source that Howie is interested in FH now that they are D4. Would they take him back?

Doubt they would just kick the current successful coach to the curve, especially after Hit the road Howie left once already.

I would get that piece of trash Thompson out of Fed and bring back Howie in a heartbeat. He wants to bring Kent with him from SG if this happens

My boy got a call from somebody over that way. Not sure what he will do. One possibility would be to let the current coach on staff to work with the freshmen.

Plus it would be good for the current coach to learn how win a game in the regionals

Maybe he can teach the current coach how it’s more important to end the game with a couple of timeouts in his pocket than it is to win the game. 😂

He could start by explaining to Thompson that recruiting players and having them as live ins is very problematic

Also that, you aren’t supposed to admit that you talk kids out of playing football. Gotta keep that on the down low. 😂

Howie doesn’t have to recruit. They want to play for him and schools recruit him to coach for them.

Howie will lead his young Tomcats to a TVC Hocking title and deeper than most think tourney run in his swan song season. He’s going out on top. Get over it.

Word in Chester is that Howie is coming back home to coach his grandson. Howie tried to talk him into staying but he didn’t want to be on the first Trimble football team to lose to Eastern twice in the same century.
