Travis Wise will do a fine job as the next coach. Best wishes to Barnes!

Looks like Travis Wise has been hired. Good choice! He will have the compettive and looking good going to games. No more wearing of sweats half hanging off their rear ends. They lost a bunch to graduation and one transfer! Boo!

Did all of South Points starters graduate except for the one that transferred to Ironton?

Yes Sir! There was one other soon to be Senior that started a handful of games returning besides the transfer. I guess he didn't want to stick around for a rebuilding year! Geeesh!

Being well liked, good student, never gets in trouble but transferring just for his senior year? I wonder if some college coaches will frown upon that?

transfering for 1 year solely because his team wont be as good ....that might not look good to some college coaches

Who are you trying to kid. A college coach could care less. Two thirds of these kids transfer in high school. A coach is looking at ability not if a kid transferred or not. How many times did Mayo transfer?

2/3 of college basketball players transfer in high school? That sounds like a complete legitimate statistic. But, OJ Mayo did transfer a lot.
Transferring would have no impact to a college coach, at all.

Of the top 10 high school kids on USA Today's list of top basketball players, 7 of the 10 are transfers. When you look at these kids they are all from schools like Finley Prep, Huntington Prep, Mater Dei, Monteverde Academy, Oak Hill Academy and I could go on and on. These are all transfers. These kids get their exposure through these schools and they know it. Even one of the top players in Ohio from Akron St V's is looking to transfer to a prep school. Transferring mean absolutely nothing to a college coach.
