Post by davewottle »

When will the numbers be posted that are used for next 2 years divisions? Anyone expect changes for any schools?

I would expect Minford to drop back down to D3. They were bumped up to D2 by less than a handful the last time they were evaluated and I heard that was because of one unusually large class that has since graduated.

The enrollment numbers for the 3 grades used in the last count for Minford were 145, 112, and 138 (395 total). Assuming the same kids are still attending Minford, this count should include classes of 138, 129, and 112 (379 total). So yes, their number should be smaller, but not much. One interesting note is that in the last count, Minford had 219 boys and 172 girls. That was a much bigger difference than most districts and there is no way to know (from the Ohio Education numbers) which one of the classes had a higher % boys.
