Eastern is a pretty decent team this year so don't be surprised at that. If southern shuts down hickson they will be fine. Eastern let him put up 40 because they're coach was to ignorant to put a better defensive player on him until he 4th quarter.

Not surprised by eastern. Should a good ball club this year. Who did they have trying to shut down Hixson from trimble?

Comebacker...since you know so much about Eastern Basketball, I am sure you were aware that "the better defensive player" was a kid that plays both ways and only had 2 quarters of service left. Hixon still got 12 pts. in the fourth quarter against the Eagles as this move did not prove to be an answer either. The Eagles choose to face-guard the first half and changed to a box-in-one the second without any success. The fact that the Eagles turned it over 20-something times giving Hixon more opportuntities to score may have been the difference...but I am sure you were aware of that also. Why can't you just support the team? The coach may be ignorant, but what good does it for the players to have such negativity surrounding them?

Did eastern succesfully recruit that tall kid from columbus?

Word on the threads is that kid landed at NY. Many are comparing him to "The Russian" of a few years ago, and say he may even be bigger and better. If that kid would have ended up at Eastern their coach would be a shoe in for coach of the year.
