Athens won the first match-up 54-45.

But, both clubs look entirely different than the teams that squared off on Dec. 12th

Athens has gone to more of an 'inside' game utilizing both 6'4 Butcher and 6'4 Hines at the same time ... And, I've been told the athletic 6'3 Dickleman has rejoined the team. If all three share the court at once, along with 6'4 guard Eli Chubb, the Bulldogs suddenly look a whole lot different than just a few weeks ago.

Close game but with Meigs healthy and playing at home I think the edge would go to Meigs . What's up with a player coming back after leaving the team . That's a little unusual unless it was a injury reason . Good luck to both teams .

They have started using their Big men and still have lost their last 3 games, Lost the last 6 of 7. Has going to the inside game really helped them?
Dickleman won't be basketball ready, and i'm sure won't jump right in and take players minutes that have been there all season.

Last meeting was closer then the score. Meigs was leading 38-37 going into the 4th.

Meigs had an injured starter that averages 18 a game.

Last year Athens won at Meigs and Meigs won at Athens, Don't see home court making much of a difference in this game.

I believe Meigs has a make up game with Marietta on Tuesday.

Home court always gives you an advantage . Home crowd , Pep Band , student section and it's the court you practice on . Now a team may not play well but HOME COURT IS an advantage .Right now I think Meigs is as good as Athens . Going BIG slows Athens down and they rely on that ZONE TO keep it that way . If Athens goes a little smaller and mixes their D I would take Athens . No wait a minute. Let me change that . I do not think Athen can match up Man against Meigs . Heck Fire !! I'm confused I think it's a toss up.

Butcher not playing much in game one is about the same as Maddox not playing. He avg bout 20 pg as a starter.

SEOPREPS would be BORING if it wasn't for Athens. I actually think that the Bulldog program should get a cut of the Advertising dollars from this Forum. :D

If Dickelman is back, I doubt he sees this game against Meigs. I would think there would be some games he has to sit out. I also would hope the TEAM had a say in him coming back. With that all said I think this is a great life lesson, a lesson about forgiveness and mistakes. Sometimes people deserve a second chance if they are sincere. At the end of the day, none of us are perfect.

The Plains are a mess. You quit the team once, you'll quit it a second time. Just wait, it will happen.

And sometimes the lesson should be that the ship has sailed on.

I don't think a high school students behavior/discipline should be discussed on here.

Dickelman just looks taller than 6' 3" to me.
I would say pushing 6' 5". Or maybe it's just because he is so Athletic and can "jump" out of the Gym.

Agreed. We should keep these forums for discussing things like why teams leave conferences, and what sport schools are well known for.

And for making up new conferences, that's probably my favorite thing on here when it gets slow.

So a player was allowed back on the team after said player had previously quit ? Is this accurate ?
