The Rock Hill High School Boys Basketball Program will be hosting a summer shootout for high school Varsity and JV divisions. The JV shoot out will be played on Friday June 15th and the Varsity will be played on Saturday June 16th. Each team will play 3 games in pool play with a single elimination tournament. Cost is $150.00 per team or $250.00 for those schools who bring both their JV and varsity teams.

Rules for Pool Games:
• 2-15 minute halves with running clock
• Clock stops in the last minute of each half
• Shooting fouls = 1 shot – make it you get 2 points
• Common Fouls = 1+1 after 7 fouls; 2 shots after 10
• Overtime = Sudden death, 1st point wins after tip
• One timeout per half
• One timeout in OT


Rules for Single Elimination Tournament Games:
• 1-20 minute half with running clock
• Clock stops in the last minute of each half
• Same rules as above apply

I wasn't able to get the results of all the JV games as I was at the varsity games all day. But, Grace Christian ended up winning the JV division

I don’t think any team was 100%... I can’t speak for any other team other than RH but with summer play it’s very hard to have a full roster with vacation, baseball and other sports going on. For RH, we have not had our full team together but have had others step up. I do know each team was utilizing young players who may or may not ultimately contribute during the actual basketball season....Without knowing full rosters, hope I was able to answer your question .... it was a good day of ball though and we were pleased with how our shoot out went and look forward to making it an annual event and seeing it grow. We are very appreciative of the teams represented and the coaches, fans and most importantly the players from each school who participated!!
