I don’t think there’s any excuse to ever lose a game by 45 points. I’m speechless.

Portsmouth starters only played the 1st QTR for the most part. Ironton starters played the first half and were pulled in the 3rd.

Why? I don’t understand that at all. I guess maybe to see what the younger guys can do.

Coach told radio announcers before game that starters was not going to be in for very long at all.

Lot of freshman and sophomore finished the game after one period

I guess I see that. See what next years team has and let them have some playing time.

A sad sad sad for the men of Troy. All I have to go on is what I read on this forum, and
from what I read (IMO) the Trojans quit on their coach! Pulling starters was the coaches
only way to let public know! There will be a lot of new faces next year.
Coach appears to be have been way too patient with this bunch.
Again this is just an opinion from someone a long ways away from games
and have not seen any games.
Portsmouth get behind coach and support him 100%!
Having said this, Go Trojans

It's nothing to me what the coach decides to do, that's his decision. It will be interesting to see what does happen the first game of the tournament.

Whoever quit who should be ashamed (if that’s the case)
Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right. Don’t get it twisted

I hope they did not,I just gave my opinion based what I read.
Coach Collins is an outstanding coach and from my understanding
even a better person.
Stated here before it has said a big reason is shooting for the poor performance
this season. Granted you need to score however, loosing games by 30-40
points is not from scoring.
Support the Trojans in the second season, the one that matters.

Or did they just not play because the game has no significance and it’s tournament time?

I believe that's what it came down to.
