Going to be very tough, but not impossible.
Alex just going to have to play their best game, if they do, they definitely have a chance.
Key for Sparty? The three ball!!!! Kearns, Mecum, Riley, Easley gotta drain em. It's the great equalizer .

After listening to Alexander struggle against a sub par Valley team and barely holding on to win 47-40 I think the Burg rolls in this one if the can get out and run and hit their threes.

this will Alex's biggest test yet. I don't know if they can pull it off. I've never seen burg play, obviously I know about holden but I don't know much else about them.

In watching Alexander’s big man last night, not sure who he is going to guard so figure them to play zone. When they played man last night he basically stayed in the paint and left his man wide open. If he could have hit some shots could of been a difference maker. He was open all night. He will not be able to not guard anyone on Burg as any one of them on the floor can knock down shots.

A little side note about the Terry boys Dad. Jason Terry played for Sparta Highland and back in 1992 Sparta and Burg hooked up in the Regional final at the Convo. A Sparta player came off the bench and started a fight with Burg PG Cris Carter in the 2nd half. (Was told by a fan of Sparta as we we were leaving that the kid that started the fight hardly played all year and he thought it was wrong what the Sparta coach did, but it worked.) Carter and that kid were ejected and during the fight 6’4” Chris Ellis had 7’2” Jason Terry by the throat. Burg struggled without Carter and lost.

Remembering that game, thought Terry was listed as 6'8", not 7'2". But it has been awhile.

Agree that Alexander will not be able to play man defense. As long as Burg moves the ball and shoots reasonable well from the 3 point line they should have some success

Terry was the most impressive player this weekend. He’s really starting to develop this year

Terry will have to play like an animal and up his physicality and intimidation as high as he can to beat Burg.

Alexander is a tough matchup but Burg is best team in D3 by 15 points.

Burg wins and moves on

Maybe Alexander had an off-night yesterday, but I think Burg looks 10-15pts better than them. Terry will cause Burg some problems, but Burg looked a lot more athletic to me. Good luck to the Pirates next week.*

Go Burg ! Burg was 4 for 20 from 3 point line against NA I look for Burg to shoot better next game since they will be a little more used to the Convo and Burg fans were out in full force Saturday it was awesome all the support Burg gets and the players thrive on that so hopefully come this Saturday even more fans show up and turn the convo into a sea of orange and black pirates! I know I'll be there and IMO Burg by 15 atleast I'll go with 62 to 45

Sure they can. Any team can if they get hot at the right time and get some lucky breaks along the way.

Two different types of bigs. I look for truitt to play behind Terry and possibly Holden in front. Perhaps a 1-3-1 matchup zone would be a good defense. I doubt Holden plays him defensively for fear of foul trouble. McCorkle off the bench may see some action. Terry isn’t as athletic so they let him rim protect and let the other team shoot the mid range, a difficult shot by the way. My guess Burg will play some two man game around the rim with truitt and Holden and force terry away from the basket. I don’t think Alexander has enough but they shoot pretty good from the outside, that could make it interesting if they can.
