The New Boston Glenwood Tigers 16-1 are the #1 team in the state in the Division IV AP Poll released today. Congratulations!

Congratulations are also in order for the Peebles Indians 14-2 coming in at #9 and the Trimble Tomcats 13-2 at #10 in Division IV!

In Divison III, we have Oak Hill Oaks 15-2 at #4, Fairland Dragons 16-1 at #6, Eastern Brown Warriors 14-1 at #11 and Chesapeake Panthers 14-2 at #13.

In Division II, we have Thornville Sheridan Generals 14-2 at #8, Fairfield Union Falcons 14-2 at #9 and Unioto Shermans 13-3 at #12.

Excellent representation from the Southeast District!

My apologies and congratulations to the Jackson Ironmen 15-2 and coming in at #10 in Division II. The OHSAA had Massillon Jackson as #10.

This team is solid but very beatable at the same time, should be fun watching them in the tourney

New Boston Glenwood 68
East 25

New Boston made the short trip to Sciotoville for a makep game with East. The Tigers were victorious leading at all stops. It was 16-5 after one quarter, 30-11 at the half, 54-17 after three and the final 68-25. New Boston played 10 players in the first quarter and a total of 15 for the game.

The Tigers improve to 17-1 and 11-0 in conference play. With the win, they have at least a share of the SOC1 title. East falls to 0-17 and 0-10.

New Boston goes to Ironton to meet the Flyers of St.Joe 12-4, 8-3 in their "Flyer Dome" on Friday. East is at Notre Dame 5-10, 2-8 on the 31th of January.

New Boston won the JV game 46-18 with all 10 players seeing action. The Tigers improve to 9-8 and 8-3.

I incorrectly posted that the Tigers were at Minford this evening. The varsity Tigers play at Minford on 2/11. It is the freshmen Tigers at Minford this evening. Sorry for the error.

New Boston improves to 16-1 overall, while the Rockets fall to 4-12.

The Tigers played 9 players in the first quarter en route to a 25-9 lead after one. It was 52-25 at the half, 79-42 after three and the final 98-55. A total of 15 players saw action in the game.

Next up for the Tigers is a full week of basketball. On Tuesday, NB goes to East 0-13, 0-8 in a make up game, followed by at Minford 9-6 on Wednesday and close out the week on Friday at Ironton St.Joe Flyers 10-4, 6-3.

Wellston returns to Tri Valley Conference action on the 28th at Alexander 11-4, 6-1.

New Boston won the JV game 41-39 after being down by 6. Brady Voiers had 24 points for the Tigers who improved their record to 8-8 overall.

Hey ACM, Tell Coach Cox I am trying to get the game with us moved to the " Dungeon " inside St. Joe. He will understand and even laugh at that.
With the win last night ISJ is now 13-4. You are always fair with your updates, nice job !!!!
