Looks like district semi final now. Jackson #1 and Athens #5 seed

Athens is (11-4) and a team that has grown a lot over the course of the season. With the loss of so many seniors, roll players last year had to become main scorers this year - and last seasons good JV players had to become the roll players. It's taken time, but the Bulldogs care a combined FOUR points away from being 13-2. They lost on a last second three by Marietta (which stings) and lost by 2 to Lancaster. Outside of that, they haven't lost since clear back in early December, and one of those losses (to Alexander) was avenged.

Still have these games left before the draw:

1/28 at Nelsonville
1/31 at Meigs
2/4 Vinton County
2/7 at River Valley
2/8 Logan

I guess I'd have to see the difference in first rd opponent to really form an opinion though. Maybe the 5 is a lot better if it means a much easier 1st game, IDK.

I just remembered the last game I called at Southeastern the 'Dogs had pretty good luck. Maybe I'd welcome a return trip.
